Singleplayer
Yep and that's for a good reason. With JEI version 10.x
, the major version changed which means breaking changes in the mod and the API. If I would allow all JEI versions, the game would likely crash.
And in fact, I am using a lot of the stuff which was removed with the new JEI version so the mod is currently not compatible with it.
You should consider downgrading JEI until version 10.x
becomes stable and is no longer considered an alpha. I doubt there are any other mods that have a hard dependency on this version. I will update the JEI dependency when it's stable.
Thanx a lot for Feedback. For the time i downgraded JEI and hopefulle the other mods don't request higher JEI Version ๐
can you not make this a thing please
What do you mean by that? I do not plan to update the JEI dependency until it's stable. But I definitely update it once it's out since that will likely be the EOL version for Minecraft 1.18.2.
Closing this because JEI will likely not update to v10 anymore for 1.18.2. Too many mods would break that are not maintained anymore. If this changes, I will update it but for now, this is not required.
I decided to reopen this as I get more and more requests to have support for JEI 10. While I still don't understand why people would want to use an alpha, I don't want to be the reason you are not allowed to do so. ยฏ_(ใ)_/ยฏ

because people want bugs to be fixed that may exist in other mods thats why
seems common sense to me
