It would be useful if we could wirelessly connect lifts to a wireless charger like the screen charger to help make elevators more compact. It will also fix the problem that Tech Reborn will cause with large elevators. That problem is that to my knowledge the power system does not uses a proper network for power it only transfers a value between wires which causes issues with longer wires. To keep this feature balanced there should be something like a power limit on the charger so you can't connect a large amounts of lifts to one charger.

Screen chargers were only added because there's no aesthetic pleasing way to power screens without them. The requirement for all the lifts to be charged is intended, and also a balancement choice. It's super op to have one block linked to all your lifts and just power it. If you're having problems using the Tech Reborn cables you can try using other mods. Industrial Revolution has very cool and easy-to-make cables that work very well.
