Red x's where mobs cannot spawn in ocean monuments

Currently in an ocean monument on 5.6.1 using Minecraft 1.16.5. It is showing red x's inside the monument, despite the fact no hostile mobs can actually spawn there.

Guardians and drowned can spawn there. Those are hostile mobs.

But only when water is present. Clear the water out and it's completely safe.
