since 1.16.2 (I don't remember before that) When I paste a schematic with signs, the signs are just pasted blank... and the signs appear with content when in preview, so is it possible to fix that?

I'm on 1.19 and am having the same issue. Any idea how that happens? The signs have glowink applied if that makes any difference. I did put signTextPaste to true.

@Haui1112 The signTextPaste config is only for manually placing the signs - the text will get automatically added to the sign GUI with that option enabled.

I think the problem with creative pasting and signs is that the current temporary block placement doesn't have any special cases for blocks that need support, so it will fail to place the temporary sign from which it would normally copy over the NBT data. For signs the text might often even fit in the /setblock command directly, so that should probably be preferred when possible.
