The crash is caused by Optifine's Render Regions, disable that in the Optifine settings.

As long as you don't have a licensed account, just use the original TL Legacy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't think it would be right for me to give a link to it, but you can find it by replacing the domain on the general fake TL site (.org) with ".ru".

You can also use a fork of multimc which allows its use without a premium account, aka, use offline account with online account already logged in. Just check forks of multimc and find it or just search multimc with offline.
EDIT: I am not saying that this is 100% safe or that you must use this, I just suggested this as multimc is much better than tlaucher but the fork I mentioned is in no way supported by the devs of multimc. Although the devs dislike that a person made a fork which allows use of the laucher without an official account, that doesn't mean that it is not better than the fake tlaucher, it is not nearly as bad but I get what Felix means. Use it at your own risk
