I have a friend who is limited to using a console controller/gamepad most of the time when playing, but wants to use some features such as easy place and toggle rendering.

I'd like key binds in the vanilla controls->key binds menu that will send a custom input to your custom key bind system.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I've looked all over for any other solutions to solve this, but haven't found anything doesn't sacrifice versatility with the gamepad.

Additional context
Mods like MidnightControls allow remapping of gamepad buttons through any key binds in the vanilla key binds menu.
Your custom key bind system has to be separate from this to be as versatile as it is however a small number of redirect binds would be viable, say ~10.
