Have an update where the printer can place blocks that are not connected to other blocks.

Yea the printInAir feature is really helpful with staircase map arts I do. It would be really helpful lol.

I will have to go back to version 2.5 until this issue is fixed.

commented

Maybe it would be better to keep the printInAir mode?

commented

You mean bring back the printInAir feature?

commented

Yea hopefully it will be added back. It helped me make so many map arts and its a pain without it

commented

Yes, printInAir feature is planned and on my todo-list

Is printInAir feature ever going to be re-added???

commented

It appears that in GeneralPlacementGuide, block faces are used to place blocks, which explains why in-air is not working.
But what about easyPlace from litemactica?
Are they just clicking the side of air blocks?

commented

I can't quite remember how it worked on top of my head, but I think it would actually click the block position that is being placed on. You can see the 2.5 version of the printer code to see how it worked exactly previously. It is certainly doable, I just have a lot of things in hand and don't have the time to pick up this project right now.

No worries, I am just waiting for the update so I can cheese map arts again.

For staircase maparts, I have a work around on mind.
Using instant-break blocks such as slimeblocks as padding to "get to" the target location.
And break them automatically right after

Is there still a chance that the PrintInAir feature will come back for 1.20.1?

I Just use the last 2.5 without any Problems. Just Change the depencies Version in Fabric.json...

Unfortunately, I have no idea about that. Where exactly is this Fabric.json? I have not found it. I use MultiMC.
