Hey,
This might be a stupid question, but is there a possibility to port litematica to Forge 1.8.9? I know this is an old version but It would really help me, not having to switch between versions.
Thank you, In advance Dolphy
Oh, You are right, I haven't tried that before,
Yes you can connect with 1.12 I am pretty sure there are some performance mods too for 1.12 besides optifine
Thank you, I will try it and let you know

Let's say there is a slight possibility that it may happen at some point, but more likely it won't. At least it won't happen before I have finished everything else from my todo list. And that is somewhat likely to never happen.
What do you mean by not having to switch between versions? What are you doing or needing it for exactly? Does Schematica (or MCEdit) not work for whatever you are doing?
One big problem with porting to 1.8.9 is that I think the vanilla game didn't have any concept for block rotations or mirroring yet. I think those first got added in 1.9, when they implemented the structure templates used for structure blocks, although the structure blocks themselves were only added in 1.10 I believe. Although I forget if Forge actually had a method for block rotations before vanilla did, I think it did.
Can you connect to the server using 1.12.2? Then you could use the 1.12.2 LiteLoader version of Litematica from here. I'd assume 1.12.2 performance is very similar to 1.8.9, probably even better since the rendering system has had some time to mature.
Thank you for your response,
I am using litematica for building farms in Hypixel Skyblock, I also want to use it for building my island (Firstly doing everything in creative and than using Litematica to guide me on Hypixel). Schematica is banned on Hypixel I am pretty sure because of the printer feature. That is also why, I would like if the printer option stayed in Schematica only and wouldnt be added to Litematica.
I know this can be solved by switching between versions, but:
1. It is quite annoying having to switch between
2. Newer versions of Minecraft are really not optimized for low end pcs, or at least my is struggling even getting stable fps
Let me know if you find any other solution for my problem, please
Thank you, Dolphy
Alr, ty for the support everything seems to be working fine, I've had a issue with crashing but I solved it by disabling render regions in optifine.
I will try downloading more mods and test it out
Thank you again for your time
Dolphy
@maruohon I love litematica, I would like a 1.8.9 forge version if possible since I use mods like Not enough updates and other quality of life improvement mods that are speciffically made for forge 1.8.9
