I wanted to change the stick to something else, cause it can be pretty annoying at times. I downloaded the litematica tool, but it didn't work, so I figured out I will try some vanilla item and I chose charcoal (since it's easy to get and I don't use it.), but it didn't work too. I tried M + T and M + R (solutions for similiar posts), it didn't help. The vanilla stick works the whole time, ignoring the toolItem option.

It's not the fault of any of the mods that I have, because I made the modpack with only litematica and malilib forge version and it didn't work too.

I think you are probably being affected by that same malilib bug in these unofficial 1.16.5 Forge ports that prevents hotkey changes from taking effect without re-logging to the world or switching dimension using a portal. So try logging out of the world and then back in, that will/should read and re-apply all the configs.
