Proper Footsteps Sounds for Little Tile Blocks

This may be a duplicate thread but upon my searches, I haven't found one of this request.
ISSUE
When you little tile(must come up with a better verb) a block, its sound type turns to stone. It kind of throws me off as when I walk on different little tiled wool or wood and I hear stone while walking on them. I do have dynamic surroundings installed, not sure if it is alright without it as for some reason, I can't launch Minecraft when I remove dynamic surroundings, no logs.
Steps to reproduce:
[0] Have Dynamic Surroundings installed (may be optional, I can't test right now)
[1] Place a non stone material block like white wool or spruce planks
[2] Little tile every block, you could simply strip of the top layer or any single tile would do.
[3] Walk on them and listen to the footsteps
Possible Solutions(question mark):
[1] Do it like C&B where I think they calculate the materials in a block and the make the one material that composes most of the block the main material (like if a chiseled block is 90% wood, 10% stone, it will have a wood material)
(not sure if this is the way in C&B, just an observation)
This may be easier and less resource intensive but not entirely accurate
[2] Do something like the top little tile that is actually being walked on to have that little tile's materials so if you do something like the top layer of a block is wool then all stone underneath, it will play the wool stuffs when walked on.
Another is like a special case stair block wher it has different types of materials, it would play the respective material sounds as shown in this picture.
This may be more resource intensive as it would have to store more data per little tiled block(or not, don't know much about optimization) but it would be the most accurate.
[3] Do what you do best, be creative and do a better fix than what I have listed
Honestly this is just a minor issue and I am making a big deal out of it, if you do fix the sounds, it would be epic.
Oh damn, there is already something like this, but it was broken. Fixed it in the newest version. Thanks for reporting this issue!
