FOV changes instantly when a view exists
heldplayer opened this issue ยท 5 comments
If a view exists that has not been yet released, the FOV of the player changes instantly when sprinting/flying instead of this change being gradual.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a view using /lg-viewdim (alternatively, try looking at a Mystcraft book)
- Start sprinting
- Observe the FOV changing instantly
Once the view gets released (the entity despawns), the FOV once again changes gradually.
Once you open up a book the only way to make it work like normal again is to relog.
The issue has been narrowed down to LookingGlass being installed on its own.
Installed mod versions:
- Minecraft Forge 10.13.3.1385
- LookingGlass 0.2.0.00
Hrmm... yes. I know what causes this and have to admit I hadn't thought about it. I might be able to fix it.
@XCompWiz What's the current state of this bug? Were you able to find a fix?
Status unchanged. Not sure when I'll get to it, as there are bugger issues to deal with and it will likely get fixed as things are changed later anyway.
I know there are bigger bugs to deal with, like (#12), but this one is just a nuisance-type of bug. Since my mod, SecurityCraft, uses LookingGlass whenever a camera is placed down, it results in this bug happening almost constantly, which can get slightly annoying. Another bug that occurs is that your hand's item-switch animation doesn't happen, so items seem to just appear and disappear magically whenever you switch items. Just thought I bring that to your attention, and thanks for all the help you've been giving us. :) ๐
Actually highly related to #12. Should be fixed in latest commit.
