If you take a loot bag that can be crafted into a lower tier loot bag and open it, take all but one item, and craft it to lower tier bags, then re-craft it into the higher tier bag, you can have unlimited items.

That is not a glitch and that behaviour can be disabled through the config option B:"Prevent Merging Opened Bags"
