luckperms.autoop ping lag on actions like teleport or switching gamemodes

Description

As someone with luckperms.autoop, anytime I teleport or switch gamemodes my ping will spike up to 300-500. This can also sometimes increase the ping for random players as well. This spike typically lasts 1-3min until it reverts back to normal if Im not doing any command actions. I upgraded from the 5.3.10 version that fixed this issue to test if it was fixed and it was not. Is it safe to downgrade back to that version?

Reproduction steps

  1. Have proxy runing waterfall and luckperms bungee
  2. Connected to same MySQL database
  3. Have backend server running Luckperms 5.3.30
  4. Have luackperms.autoop
  5. Run /gamemode survival, then /gamemode creative fairly fast.
  6. Enjoy the ping spike/lag

Expected behaviour

Not to get ping spikes when running commands.

Fixed by setting update-client-command-list to false and restarting
