Invalid Player Data with NeoForge 1.21.1 & v5.4.140

Description

When setting up a fresh test server instance with only LuckPerms installed, the client is unable to join the server. This issue is accompanied by an "invalid player data" error and an error stack trace in the server console. The issue occurs even with a newly generated world.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Set up a fresh server instance.
  2. Install LuckPerms-NeoForge-5.4.140.jar as the only mod.
  3. Start the server and let it generate a fresh world.
  4. Attempt to join the server with a client.

Expected Behaviour

The client should be able to connect to the server without any errors.
