regular crashes in certain areas

I've had a server with a custom modpack going for over a month now, and periodically we have experienced some crashes that all seem to tie back to maj's mods. at first, i thought it was specifically progressive difficulty since it seemed to specifically have to do with an entity spawn, but after removing that we are still having the problem when certain chunks are loaded. crash log attached below.
