Map Atlases only activates in creative

For some reason, when activating map atlases, it crashes out unless I'm in creative. Version 1.20.1

send latest.log and check all your modsare updated

Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "net.mehvahdjukaar.moonlight.api.map.ExpandedMapData.getCustomData()" because "mapData" is null
