Mod is Broken With Fabric Please FIX!

Using this mod with Fabric version, with Cardinal Components, in the trinkets slot does not save the maps after leaving and rejoining.
I have sodium and a couple others like lithium, indium and nvidium mods.
The maps just don't save, only when taken it out of trinket slot and into inventory, hotbar ect. does it show again.
In other words every version with cardinal components causes this issue. Only version that doesn't is the one on Modrinth without Cardinal components.
Why has this issue not been reported ? Clearly its broken...
Map Atlas v1.20-6.0.9
Fabric 1.20.1 (dedicated server)
Seeing this issue as well. It seems to work fine in single player, but on a server, leaving and rejoining causes the Map Atlas to reset to just the area around you.
However, once your area of view crosses into a previously-mapped map section, that section fills back in exactly as it was before disconnecting from the server. So it seems like the maps are being saved, but reloading the game causes the maps to visually reset to blank until they get told to update.
Update: After doing some more testing, I've found that placing the atlas in your hotbar and opening the world map restores all mapped regions. The atlas then functions as normal.
Update 2: Though the hotbar method works for restoring mapped regions, it unfortunately does not restore waypoints. Waypoints created by adding a pin to the map (via keybind or the world map screen) are permanently lost upon relogging on a server. Waypoints created by right-clicking the Atlas on a banner do persist across relogs, however.
Map Atlases version: 1.20-6.0.9
Fabric version: 0.16.9 (both client and server)
Minecraft version: 1.20.1
Launched through CurseForge
I'd like to bump this because the second comment here describes most if not all of the issues I'm running into.
I have Supplementaries and MoonlightLib both installed. My guess is that MoonlightLib is meant to be saving the pin waypoint info client-side, but for whatever reason it just... isn't. I did see that Supplementaries needed an update, and from what I understand that's where the custom waypoints come from, so I'm going to try updating that for both the client and server to confirm this stuff is still an issue.
Feel free to reply with possible causes, I'd like to help you guys get to the bottom of this if possible!

probably because you're on the neoforge versions github

This is actually a multi-platform fork according to the repository you linked to @CapToad , I believe Pepp (the author of the repo you linked to) and MehVahdJukaar combined their different ports of the mod, or at least started working on the same port here. The version numbers for the Map Atlases mod I have downloaded doesn't line up with the latest release in Pepp's old repo, so I think this one is the correct one to be asking about more recent versions for Fabric.
