[1.7.2] Opening books causes FPS/CPU issues

After opening one of the guide books the FPS drops really low and the CPU usage goes drastically up.

Prior to opening the book:

It stays really low with bad lag spikes until i restart the client, same thing is happening on my other PC.

My FPS Drops from 120 to 90(on pages with item cycling), and goes up to 105 on pages without cycling, but it stays around that. And I'm having no issues with CPU. I'm sorry but I'm not able to recreate this issue personally. GUIs always have a decrease in fps, so that's expected. I don't know what to say to be honest. What other mods do you have installed?
