As for the other issue, this got reported on discord a few days ago :)
Head is managed by a 3rd party api. It must be there side failing. About a year ago, many users got this issue and it self-solved after a few and me being banned from their discord for reporting the issue :(
You can easily swap for another head api in the config with the avatar_api but mc-heads was the better i found

Super interesting. It was a bit strange because it they both seemed to start happening around the same time. So I thought maybe I was crazy here, but that makes sense. Will see about swapping the Head portion with another API!
