When doing the command /kill on a player with death barter and emeralds in their inventory it will make the player have zero health, unable to open any inventories (all inventories immediatly close after openin) unable to be killed even with the /kill command and the walking animation is broken when they are in that state the only fix i know is to clear the player data. they cannot pick up items, cannot be shot at using projectiles, unable to eat. but are able to use elytra

What version are you on? There should have been a template when you opened the issue. Not sure why you didn't use it

This issue does not exist in the current upcoming release as there is a clear check if the source of death is void for which the kill command is. That being said, if you could use the template in the future, it is very useful if we have all the information that you have so we can determine what exactly the issue is. If you could provide a version number and clear steps to reproduce the issue, we can check if this is a mod conflict or another mod causing the issue should our testing indeed come back negative.
