Weird problem, but I managed to duplicate it a few times and fix it, but thought I should post something so you knew. When selecting the Yeti origin, I noticed my skin was reset to Steve, and I was unable to get it back to any other skin without removing the mod. I found I was able to fix the problem by manually removing the two files added to .minecraft/assets/skins by Medieval Origins, which apparently were causing the issue.
