Is it not possible to display all forms at the same time like a Compacting Drawer from Functional Storage?

Compression Card makes it basically impossible to see how much of the base item you actually have unless you specifically go look at the cell, and the Decompression Module makes it very hard to determine how many of an item you are missing from an auto craft.

This is the "error" that I got when I was missing a couple dozen redstone. It is not very clear what specifically is missing.

NO, this is the exact opposite of how Compression was meant to be designed and this approach already had a history of causing MORE problems. ME networks, as a result of drawers, will usually report more items in storage than what they actually have, completely throwing off and interrupting any autocrafting involving those.

This is exactly what the Compression Cutoff feature was added in for, and while you initially installed the Compression Card onto a cell you could have set the cutoff at the same time to only show up to a certain variant, e.g. all ingots as opposed to everything going up to 9x blocks.

This I can try to take a closer look at and have addressed to make it less confusing, but if it's a visual thing only and crafts still proceed as normal when all the redstone is there then I don't consider this nearly as much of a problem as this issue is making it out to be. In fact, I'm pretty sure the cutoff feature mentioned earlier will probably help resolve it already anyway for the time being.

Where is the Cutoff feature in the Cell Workbench? I don't see anything about that.

It was added in the latest 4.3.0 version. If you have a Compression Card installed on a Bulk Cell in the workbench, on the left among the other settings you'll see a button displaying an item corresponding to one of the possible variants that the cell can compress to. Clicking that will cycle between all available variants such that the item displayed will be the largest possible variant that you see any amounts of in your network.
