Universal Cable Crash #2
Tanxs opened this issue ยท 2 comments
Hello - first time here and what not... I play on a TPPI (ver. 1.0.4pre) and just recently the owners have had to ban the Universal Cables from Mekanism due to serious issues, lag, delay, and complete crashing of the server...
Now, said cables have been used up until just earlier today with no real issue, problem or concern... and then boom. Suddenly when a user goes to shift right click em to remove them a crash of the server happens. Had to Creative remove them and ban them because of that.
Also, I believe Mekanism version we have is 6.1.1
This is what I came across and how I came to that version. (Mekanism-6.1.1.TPPI.jar)
From what I was told - It seems that it has to do with the EU-RF conversion or something along those lines...
Also, when a crash happened - no crash log was generated, how ever I was told it showed up in the server log and that is how we mainly determined that it was in fact the Universal Cables that were causing the issue.
Here is the crash report used: http://pastebin.com/GicdYk6Z
Or just in case that link goes poof:

My question now is - is there a fix for this; if at all possible and if so, how?
Thank you for reading and hope to hear back.
Ah, yes. I did a major performance update to Universal Cables for Mekanism v6.0.5, and yet another one for Mekanism v7. Try updating to 6.0.5 if you want to stay on 1.6.4.
I see. That's great n all but uh... Is it possible for the server, our tppi server that is, to be updated with just Mekanism ..? Or does the TPPI pack have to be updated or something. Sorry this is all new to me and I hope this isn't a bother but I'd really like to have Mek Universal Cables back...
So ya, question - is it possible to just have an updated Mekanism applied and have every player have said updated version as well?
Thanks again and I appreciate the reply very much.
P.s. Also - I believe we are running 'Mekanism-6.1.1.TPPI.jar' and you stated to try version 6.0.5 - uh am I going crazy or are you counting down ? Is Version 6.0.5 a later/newer release than version that we are running (v. 6.1.1) or did you mean to say that and that that would mean we'd have to downgrade versions in order to get the fix to work again?
Also .. how would we apply said fix to the server? Would that mean that every single player who wanted to join would have to download this version in order to join; it's not just something that needed to be applied server side like the versions swapped out n it works or... Very sorry for all the noob questions.
P.p.s - Also if version 6.0.5 is what I need, could you possible provide a download link or guide me to where one might be possibly... That would be appreciated as well.
\Sorry but P.s again - Also we recently re enabled Opis I think it was on the TPPI server and also believe that was what may have been conflicting with it(?) any thoughts on this, true or who knows?
Thanks.
