Hi,

it would help me out a lot if I could restrict the generation of ores to certain dimension or blacklist single dimensions. Another nice feature would be restrict the ore generation to certain y levels. I work a lot with metal tier progression for a pack and while each and every ore has a place in my world(s) the mekanism ore spreads in some dimensions where I don't want it and the ys are totaly random.

The implementation should be pretty easy too as it would only be some new configuration lines and very few changes to the world generation handler.

Very few mods have more than on/off configs for worldgen. If you want tight, customized control over your ores, I'd suggest using a mod like Custom Ore Generation.

Metallurgy, Nether Ores, Mariculture, COFH? It is one line in the code and one line in the config.

@EfficiencyVI Try using CofH Core, it can generate ores for other mods and even modify vanilla stuff.

@grimallq Oh, I see, you are right. Sorry! looked into the wrong file. Thank you! So I should make a new ticket to remove all the settings than can be done with another mod?

@EfficiencyVI What do you mean? CofH Core ore generator has a dimension and biome blacklists (and whitelists). Also allows you to set up Y levels.

No need. Just turn off mekanism ore generation completely and set up CofH Core to generate stuff however you like.

Thank you for you advice with other mods! Replacing Mekanism with TE4 totally solved it for me.
