[Suggestion] Glow blocks and glow panels should look bright

After I appreciated this building:

(Full album here: http://imgur.com/a/zJ5hh)

I tried to reproduce the glowing parts with Mekanism glow blocks. The thing is, the glow blocks don't seem to glow, they seem pale. I tried to edit them by resource pack but their brightness is somewhat hard-coded.

They emit light as you can see here...

... but their brightness tell me the opposite.

Is it possible to make the Mekanism glow blocks look brighter?

Thank you.

Those luminous turquoise blocks, what mod are they from, and what are they called? I think this should be easy with a TileEntity renderer, but I'm not sure if it's possible without one.

Also, are you just asking for the render to be made lighter, or for the blocks to actually render as brightly coloured, even in darker places (like the dots on energy cubes do)? That bit is what would be potentially more difficult.

I'm pretty sure you can light them up in the bsr. I'll check how exactly
when i'll be at my pc.

I don't know the exact mod those blocks are from, but it's from FTB: http://www.reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/comments/2ojxuo/i_felt_like_building_something_futuristic_so/

Extra utilities adds them, they are lapis Caelestis.

I was thinking they looked like Lapis Caelestis, I guess that was a better guess than I thought. I'll see if I can work out how they work.

These? http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/whats-new-in-modded-minecraft-today.39595/page-176#post-703742

While those are quite bright (as I proposed, I quite like them), Mekanism glow blocks have an important advantage aesthetic-wise: they have 3D shading. The 2nd pic of that post doesn't let me lie. o.o'

EDIT: Just me playing with image editing...

How about this? It's as bright as I can go.

That's great.

Sure that is.

Kudos to @unpairedbracket.

If it's like the cyan of the atomic disassembler, it's more than enough. Thank you. (oh, I didn't see you have just replied. Please stop being so quick! Your efficiency is scaring me. ;-) )

Awesome! I'll push now.

I've just tested 144. It's great.

I think the "hotter" color blocks like turned out well, and the lime block too.

I just think the cyan blocks (edit: and the light blue blocks) could be a bit brighter, like the cyan we have in the jetpack and the atomic disassembler. This bright cyan is characteristic of tech mods like OpenComputers and MPS, and other tech-themed games/mods.

I don't know if it's possible to tweak one block without affecting the others. I think their "low" light level of 8 or 9 is intended.

Thanks for implementing.

Yeah, the cyan is a bit of an odd colour. I think I based it off the colour of cyan wool, but I'll see if I can make ours any better.
