When keeping my ore processing facility loaded with a chunk loader the salination plant disassembles each time I leave the area. A second salination plant outside the chunk loader's area does not have this issue.

You can close this issue. More testing has found that its the fault of the forestry tree farm right next to the plant. When a tree grows too close leaf blocks can generate inside the plant breaking the structure.
