Crash with Logistical Sorter

I was using a logistical sorter to pull items from an inventory and transferring them into an ultimate logistics cable.
Then I added the filter with Material cobblestone and clicked save.
The game crashed to desktop. Logging into the world crashes it again to desktop.

Grrrrr. Worked until the update. Even replaced that particular sorter. grrrrr
And tore out and replaced all the transporters.
Mine's not crashing, but my logistical sorter's not painting ingots any more.
See #2864 Fix for crash is there.
@harley9699699 What do you mean not painting ingots?
When the ingots leave the sorter, they're not 'painted'/colorized to go into the color-coded sorting system.
That's just you though, it doesn't happen to me? I made a small test setup with chests, sorters and transporters and they are color tagged correctly?
Does it happen all the time? Or only on that particular setup - I still can't reproduce it using a small 1 source / 2 destination setup?
Still can't seem to reproduce...

That's SO strange. I'll tear it apart later and get back here. I just.don't.understand.
Very quickly switched dusts---didn't mark Any of the ingots on the way out. :(
Meant, I had only been trying iron, then switched to copper, tin, etc. None of them were marked for sorting.
May be funny to you, but I'm pulling out (what's left of) my hair here. :) Just don't understand how it could work, then not. EVEN thinking about going back to 815. :/
Don't know if it matters, but did you test yours in Survival?
Right, I see now. It only happens when you are trying to sort directly from a mekanism machine.
I'll make a new issue with that in more detail, but a easy workaround for now is to put a chest as a buffer between your machine and the sorter.
THAT was it!!!!!! Wow, glad you thought of it because I never would have. Geez, that was rough enough. Chest buffer fixed it. Thanks!
