Title says it all - with the exception of a 'potential' yet probably unlikely way to fix, which I would assume would be something like this: Digital Miner placed, defaults to normal Fake Player, click on security, when on ' Private ' or ' Trusted ' Owner of Digi Miner is set as the 'fake player'. This way the game see's that you are trying to mine in your claim, not someone else.

I think this would be more on your side than theirs, because they could allow Fake players to mine in claims, ezpz - but then griefing could ensue, setting the miner to items in someone elses' base etc

Came to the issue page to report this. Indeed FTB Utilities dose prevent the miner from mining in claimed chunks even if it is yours.

My miner was stuck on 1909 left to mine. So i went down to see if it was one type of ore from a mod or something. Nope all the ores were there (iron, coal, ect. ect.). took me an hour to figure out it was the claimed chunks that it was trying (and failing) at mining.

Well, umm, the miner is being Fake Player not you, so this seems to be working as intended. If you can whitelist the Fake Player in the claim (not familiar with FTB Utils, sorry) it might be able to function, but then anyone's miner could too not just yours.

Why not set the miner to mimic the players who placed it uuid? That would resolve both the trust issue and potential grief issue.

The issue is that there's no real way to "mimic" when performing anti-grief checks without that player being online. Just whitelist the Digital Miner, that should fix your issues.
