I love your bins Aidan, I really do.. but for one thing that makes them difficult to use. Please update bins to either be like gas tanks with configurable sides or simply just makes bins able to input and/or output on all sides similar to how Thermal Expansion caches or Storage Drawer drawers work. This would greatly increase the flexibility of bins.

Addendum since we're talking bin changes anyway.. ability to lock the type of object to the bin. IE: Even if the bin is empty it is still tagged as say "bones" even with quantity zero. Makes them much more useful for the many, many scenarios where you want to "prestage" a bin as a set item type and not worry about accidently taking out the last item and the bin losing what it is. Think farms, etc.

Wasn't a huge deal before as, to be honest, the old limit on items was a bit tame. The new tiered ones are much more useful and as such, are proper replacements for TE caches and other equivalent items minus the caveats listed in this post. :)
