Some thoughts/suggestions about the flamethrower

I've started using Mekanism recently and I think it's a great mod so far, but I believe there are some things that should be changed about the flamethrower:

The flamethrower (in first-person view) is held at an angle that does not match the path of the fire.

The straight, two-plane flame particle geometry looks okay from the side but unfittingly thin from the firing player's perspective, looking more like red Xs than a stream of burning gas.

The physics of the burning gas particles are also off; If a lighter than air gas is being burned, it should rise more than it moves ahead, especially at the speed it currently travels. Alternatively, the fire should move much faster (and consume gas faster) to reach its existing range before disappearing, though such a change may present a balance problem.

The flame particles that appear even when idling are large and plentiful enough so that they can obstruct the player's view, especially since they appear near the center of the screen. I suggest toning these down or eliminating them entirely.
