Hostile Mobs attack Bat morph despite hostile setting is set to true

For some reason, I've noticed this in 1.12.x, whenever i'm a bat, hostile mobs still attack me, despite having the hostile tag set to true. But this same thing doesn't occur with mobs like wolves (which also has the hostile tag set to true)
