DPad assignments being overridden - A possible solution

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It seems if we assign multiple actions to the DPad that it becomes overridden in the inventory/crafting windows.

Describe the solution you'd like
Since the DPad is only used in the inventory/crafting windows, and not while in game (other than Pick Block while in Creative Mode) , why not make use of this and allow separate bindings so assignments don't override each other? Perhaps it might be possible to pause all other DPad related bindings while in the inventory/crafting windows?

Describe alternatives you've considered
There are no clear alternatives at this point. Even using DS4Windows and AHK still have the same restrictions.

Additional context
Please consider this a request to implement a feature that would ignore all other DPad assignments while in the inventory/crafting windows (except for Move Slots assignments as we need those to navigate the inventory/crafting windows AND Pick Block which by default is DPad Left)

Considering that it is possible to have both the Dpad Left assigned to Pick Block while also being assigned to Move Slot Left without any problems, this request should be possible. Implementing this would free up the Dpad for other in-game controller assignments. I ask this because my young kid has problems using key combinations, so being able to assign something to the DPad (without overriding the inventory/crafting windows), would be really useful.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

No comment on this? We really need to free up as many assignable buttons as possible. Please respond if you have time, as many of us could use this.
