whenever i edit the controller settings or anything to do with the mod, the settings button stops working, it appears and i can click it but nothing opens or makes a noise

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Go to controller settings
Edit anything in controller settings.
go back to the controller settings button
click/select and it wont open the settings

Expected behavior
the settings menu popping up.

• Modloader fabric loader 0.16.10
• Fabric/Quilt Libraries idk
• Mods none of them affect ui
• Version latest for 1.21.4
