Hey! I have this same issue as OP in #216 (i don't have issue reopen permissions) and i don't believe it's the same as #51
I use a steam deck with DS4 v2 (PS4) controller via bluetooth.

If i mash the steam deck's dpad, it goes as you would expect
If i hold the steam deck's dpad it goes at 10+ moves per second
If i mash the PS4 controller's dpad, it goes at about 1.5 moves per second
If i hold the PS4 controller's dpad, it also goes at about 1.5 moves per second

The version i tested is latest (1.10.6 on mc 1.21.5)

I already tried messing with settings but it does not seem to budge, i also believe i can't do much without coding since the steam dpad works fine, so it can't be attributed to lag.

To Reproduce

• Connect a PS4 controller to a steam deck
• Try to navigate around menus quickly

Expected behavior

• Dpad speed is same as steam deck dpad (without delays)
