[QUESTION] Is there a way to avoid some songs becoming air raid sirens?

I am having an issue where MIDI files with a lot of back-to-back notes played at around 120 tempo in Audacity cause some instruments to stack their sounds. This note-stacking creates an unholy cacophony of noise, making many instruments unusable for anything other than a slightly musical air raid siren. Instruments like the kalimba and the music box do not have this issue since they do not sustain notes, while instruments like the piano, accordion, and microphone do.

Is there another way to get around this issue outside of editing MIDI files or finding versions of songs with a lower tempo?

Environment (if applicable):

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Mod Version: 4.3.0-RELEASE-NEO
  • Minecraft Version: 1.20.1
  • Forge Version: Neoforge - 21.1.209

It could also be that the MIDI files I used were created in a weird way. I am going to try to look at other MIDI files of the same songs to see if the author is the issue.
