This may be caused by c2me doing its thing, see if the crash still happens without that mod. Might also be the fault of some Quilt weirdness. If that's the case - pobably won't fix since a kind of overhaul of the portals is coming soon 👍

Removing C2ME won’t let me load a world at all

It's not C2ME or Immersive Portals. I managed to get the crash without both installed.

This error is utterly unpredictable. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
