  • I am running the latest beta/release version of MineColonies for my Minecraft version.
    I am also running the latest versions of other mods that are part of my problem.

Current Behavior

After I upgraded my Caledonia buildings to Lv. 5, some of them earned "planters" on their sides. These planters consist of a raised dirt block bordered by Domum Ornamentum panels.

Ever since those upgrades, colonists started getting stuck on top of those planters. They jump up the planter, seemingly in an attempt to access an interior block through the wall, and their pathfinding becomes permanently stuck facing the wall. If I break a panel block, they will pathfind out of the planter and resume walking. If I don't, they will stay there indefinitely.

Something about the pathfinding algorithm is leading colonists to attempt to access indoor blocks across walls, instead of entering through the building's door. Then, their pathfinding seems to interpret the panel as an obstacle they cannot cross, despite them being able to simply walk off of the raised block ledge.

This bug is causing colonists to fail to go to bed every night, unless I free them by breaking a panel block, or if I "protect" those spots with additional blocks, ruining the building's look.

Expected Behavior

I expected colonists not only to be able to step down from these panel-bordered ledges, but also to not try pathfinding into them in the first place. They should try to access the building's doors, rather than access the blocks through walls.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Start a colony, and acquire at least a few colonists;
  2. Construct a Lv. 5 Caledonia University or Warehouse (their planters are inset into the walls);
  3. Build path roads around such buildings, so that colonists walk around them;
  4. Observe their behavior.
