Minecolonies version
Version: Latest - 1.12.2 - 0.10.177 ALPHA
Expected behavior
Builder turns dirt into grass/starts with 1 grass to spread.
Actual behaviour
Builder requires grass to proceed with building. I am in survival (in a dessert) i and with cheats off i am unable to provide such.
https://prnt.sc/mmyzwv - Required Grass
http://prntscr.com/mmz077 - Builder having put dirt down, but not grass.
http://prntscr.com/mmz0ef - Builder is HOLDING grass block, I assume put there by the dev's to combat this but it doesn't seem to work.
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Start new world.
- Look for desert.
- Build hut.
- Attempt to build sandstone lumbermill.
- Builder requests grass.
- Screm at game
Bargaining
I'll be honest, i'm looking for a solution here as i know this seems to be a recurring issue as i have seen 3 other posts with similar problems. I can't give myself creative since cheats are turned off (and i don't know/cant turn them on) and i would like a solution that doesn't require building a dirt bridge from the grass 100 blocks away and waiting for it to grow. Any help would be very appreciated, else i might just have to slug out the 100 block crawl.
Doesn't the builder accept dirt for it and place dirt instead? Am Di., 19. Feb. 2019 um 00:14 Uhr schrieb dory9864 < [email protected]>:

It somewhat seems that way, where the ai will somewhat accept dirt blocks (but they need to be placed directly into inventory and not via build screen). With that said the ai still bugs out and stands at hut waiting for grass, and every 45 seconds or so will leave, place 2 blocks and then return to hut, wait and repeat. Sometimes she does not place blocks and currently i am pushing her closer to the build site in hopes to get around that.

UPDATE: The hut was built without grass (pic included) and functions seemingly normally (able to hire a dude). This is nice so i don't have to extract grass. With that said it still took well over an hour to complete between waiting for her to place 2 blocks every time (which she sometimes didn't do) and looking up possible solutions. I'm glad it worked itself out in the end but boy was that a ride.
Also while you're here, can you elaborate on how the lumberjack works? The camp is built as far as i know and he just picks up an axe and stares at his work station. Giving him wood or saplings doesn't seem to fix this and neither does turning off all saplings bar the 2 i give him.
The trees have to already be planted and grown.
The worker will cut the tree and replant. ONLY replant. Not set up a tree farm.
