As someone who uses MCA for characters in the server that I am a mod on, the ability to change gender, name, and preference was an essential part of this server. The ability to generate a village or a home was also handy for it.
I propose that you can add these features back, but as admin commands to prevent server griefing. for the name change and such though, those can be /mca.

examples of the commands:
/mca setname [ user] [name wanted]
/mca setpreference [user] [preference]
/mca setgender [user] [gender]
/mca-admin spawn village
/mca-admin spawn home
etc.
