What seems to be the issue?

@FC-ElecMan This appears to be caused by you using a newer version of forge for 1.12.2 than this mod was compiled against, and they removed a class that the mod code was expecting to find. Fixing this would require updating the mod to a newer version of forge.

Update for anyone else who works on this and cares: Issue appears to be with this import. Not sure if deleted/replaced or not being used properly. This forum thread might be vaguely relevent.

Can confirm, LivingDamageEvent has been added in forge commit MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge@dd69f06, which happened AFTER your version 14.23.0.2491.
Please update forge, I think we are at 14.23.5.2768.
