I accidently sent my child hunting without armor and tried to call her back and she didn't come back. Eventually it said she died while hunting and I tried naming another heir with the heir crown but I can't.

You can reset this by opening your world's configuration file (config/MCA/Worlds/[World Name]/[Your Name]/WorldProps.properties

Change the Heir ID property to -1 and save, then restart your game.
