hey there! i just married my wife and had two children back-to-back, after the 20 minutes were up i could not place down any children. is this because i had multiple babies in my inventory at once?

Steps to Reproduce
i loaded up a minecraft world and got to the point of marriage and procreation, had baby number 1 and put baby in a make-shift craddle with an item frame (which paused the timer i noticed) and then went to have a second baby, i feel like this item frame thing may be the issue OR its because i had more than one baby. i tried a third time with no item frame placements and kept him in my inventory the whole time, but it still didn't work.
