For starters I don't have a problem with new features, the randomly generated NPC design is actually pretty impressive, however there should be an option in config (or a separate mod if that was easier to make) that wouldn't try to improve on the original source, instead it would try to be as faithful to the original as it's possible.

For starters NPCs should talk to you while you pass by in the chat, I'm not sure if that feature is present in the Reborn, I just didn't saw it happen as often as it did in the original, which is quite a shame, it was one of these small things that made the difference.
Second of all same model player with only a handful of predetermined skins, as already mentioned the randomly generated features are really impressive, but they are also a little bit out of the place, at least for my taste.

I didn't mentioned all of what made the old version, but you probably get my idea, just a legacy version that isn't some new revolutionary landmark, given for a lot of people (myself including) the 1.10.2 version was basically perfect, it didn't added too much or too little, it was essentially perfect as it is, so it would be extremely welcome if you could add it (perhaps an option to bring back old villages structure generation, just as a little extra touch), but as always I'm aware mod development is a hard process, so if it's something that would require too much effort for little to no payoff or something along these lines, then it's understandable, regardless of the final choice I wish you all most of the success and love from supports, godspeed,
