Child changes name when put down for the first time

Procreated in the usual fashion ;-), got "It's a boy!" Named the infant Billy, and he was so named as an babe-in-arms. But the first time I put him down, suddenly he was Abe! (ETA: Version 1.8.9-1.5.2)
