After villagers performing the maintain farm chore run out of grown crops to harvest, they won't harvest any more crops once they have grown.

I can't seem to reproduce this. Check their Radius setting and start the chore closer to the center of the farm you want them to maintain. Reopen this issue if you can get it to happen again, and we will go from there.
