When using mods like vivecraft, the GUI causes any mods that modify the hotbar to fail, removing the ability to gift items, making progression in the game harder.
Literal example: In vivecraft, the hotbar does not show while on the gift screen, making it impossible to give any gifts.

A fix for this would be to add a new config option that allows a function to run when gifting/(other action) when preforming under conditions (ex: shifting while right-clicking opens the trade menu.)
Adding a similar feature, for something like gifting would allow compatibility between these mods.

Another option that would also fix this issue, is to add a config option to immediately gift the item you're already holding when you select "gift". It could also give a prompt. (Ex: Are you sure you want to gift your [INSERT ITEM HERE]?)

Since both of these mods are focusing on adding more aspects to the game, I think compatibility between these mods would be useful.

Edit: I double-checked and realized there was already an issue stating this incompatibility, but I will leave the suggestions up for grabs as I feel they are a solid way of adding compatibility.
