Character Screen Save/Load buttons

With presently 164 open issues to deal with, I have doubt that you will even see this in the next month, but I have hope considering an update dropped today, and it's great to see that you're still working on it.

I've used this mod for many years over many versions, and only ever desired one simple change: the ability to save a character configuration, and load it back on new worlds.

After all these years of using your mod, I have established exactly what I want my character to look like.
When I've been developing my various mod packs over the years, I have had to create new worlds for testing, constantly. Also quite often I will start a new world just because I feel like it!
This leads to having to face the MCA character creation screen over and over, and being frustrated with the lump-of-a-human that the random generation has provided me. lol
I can't count how many hundreds of times I've faced that screen and wished I could just click a button and get my preferred configuration back, without wasting any more of my time on all the minute details.
If I could just click a load button to get the exact face, hair, height, width (etc) done, then I could chose the outfit I prefer and just go. Wouldn't that be awesome!
Yes, this is a luxury request, I understand, but the amount of times I've had to make so many little adjustments for new worlds and thought "why isn't there a damned save/load feature?" is countless.

Please tell me this is something you might consider, because I've already invested so much time in this indispensable mod, and this is literally the only thing I think is missing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and even consider my proposal.

For now, there is an addon who implemented this: https://modrinth.com/mod/mca-expanded
I hope it's still working.

HOLY CRAPOLA!!! lol
...Thank you sincerely for the unbelievably quick reply, and the link!
MAN I wish I had seen this first and not bothered you!! lol
... testing it....
Sadly, I had to use connector to get it into forge, and got this message:

"Some of your mods are incompatible with the game or each other! A potential solution has been determined, this may resolve your problem: - Replace mod Minecraft Comes Alive (mca) 7.6.4+1.20.1 with any version between 7.5.19+1.20.1 (inclusive) and 7.6- (exclusive).
More details: - mod MCA Expanded -mca_expanded) 1.0.1 requires any version between 7.5.19+1.20.1 (inclusive) and 7.6- (exclusive) of mod Minecraft Comes Alive (mca), but only the wrong version is present: 7.6.4+1.20.1! "

... this seem contrary. lol
Since I clearly have a version that it says I should have, am I to presume it just won't work?

7.6.4 is not between 7.5.19 and 7.6.0, and it means that mca-expanded itself claims that it is probably incompatible. You can open the jar and expand the range in the fabric.mod.json manually but chances are low it works.
So, someone either needs to update mca-expanded or I finally implement character import and exporting :(

Well, I wouldn't want to dump more work on you, as CLEARLY you have enough on your plate. :/

I'll try your suggestion and report back. It just might work! (Trying to be optimistic. lol)

Sadly, no go.
I directly replaced the mca version with 7.6.4+1.20.1 in the same format, and hard error 2 crash. No boot.
It definitely was worth a try!

I will respect and appreciate if you say that you are too busy or not interested in implementing this particular feature.
I admit I am not a coder and am ignorant of how much time and effort it would take to "put in two simple buttons". lol
I'll understand if this request is something you just can't or won't do and close the report.
Seriously, no stress. :)
I can learn to live without the feature... God knows I have thus far! lol

Honestly, I'm thrilled I even got to propose the idea to you after all these years of thinking about it. lol
Thanks for that. :)

... I would still love to have the feature... Don't get me wrong! lol
