This may be considered a bug; rose gold is currently tagged as gold instead of rose_gold meaning mods like Tinker's Construct can't support it.

Requesting rose gold be tagged as its own metal separate from gold for Tinker's Construct compatibility, thanks!

Reusing the gold tag makes compatibility a bit funky with mods, tagging it separately will mean it can't be used as a gold replacement but at least that would promote its unique uses!
This also applies to the dusts tag and the storage_blocks tag.

It's not my place to say, but I do wonder if rose gold needs to exist in the first place? Golden rings already exist in the mod making up for its one unique use, its recipe is a little funky with the dust and it's more or less a duplicate of a vanilla metal.
Just my take on the situation of course!

I need help here, I am not familiar enough with tagging to add support. I could make a common tag, but it's not used by e.g. tinker construct.

Apologies for the late response - simply renaming the Forge tags from gold to rose_gold should to the trick! Tinker's Construct will automatically make use of the tag.
