When I go to talk to a villager it just brings up the trade menu and nothing else. The ai feature still works fine but I cant click on them and see the interaction menu. What makes this even weirder is that it was working when I started todays play session and I have no clue what caused it. Possibly sleeping but im not sure. I tried leaving and reentering the world along with closing out of Minecraft completely, so far no luck.

Update: So I went to my bed and clicked on it again and then I was able to talk to everyone. No need to sleep just reset spawn I think so here's my theory, I had moved my adult sons bed earlier that day then made sure the location was set to the house. Im wondering if I slept in the home bed or something like that. Either way if anyone else has the same issue just try to click on a bed and hopefully that fixes it

I also have that problem, but in my case there is no way that i can talk with them, and is not a single villager, is everybody and i dont know what cand i do, maybe is a problem of the mod but i have tried all versions in 1.20.1 and there is no one in which i dont have that problem, and i asked to friends to see if this ocuurs to them but they have not this problems, i wonder if you or the creator of the mod or someone could help me please
