Possible Mod conflicts causing frame rate issues and crashes

Expected Behaviour
I expect to be able to cross more than about 10-12 chunks without Frame-rate issues or the game crashing on me.

Actual Behaviour
In multiple worlds with multiple combinations of mods, I have created a brand new world, run around for anywhere between 3 and 15 minutes, and the frame rate will start to drop, down to 2-3fps, then the game will crash. I know two of the crashes were actually caused by me going into options and trying to change the graphics settings after getting the really low frame-rate, but I can't remember if that was the cause of the first crash I experienced.

Reproduction Steps
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

1.Load and enable all the mods listed below in Installed Mods through MultiMC.
2.Create and load in new Minecraft world called Test.
3.Run around for about 10-15 minutes, until the frame-rate drops below 5fps (I haven't tested before it reaches that low yet)
4.Open video settings and attempt to change the graphics settings.

Environment

  • Minecraft Version: 1.17.1
  • Installed Mods: Fabric Loader v0.11.7 Architectury v2.5.32; Auto Config v3.3.1; Balm v1.3.0+0; Cloth Config v5.0.38; Fabric API v0.41.0+1.17; Fabric Language Kotlin v1.6.5+kotlin1.5.31; Minecraft Transit Railway v1.17-3.0.0-beta-8-prerelease-1; Mod Menu v2.0.14; Modern Industrialization v0.5.12; Patchouli v1.17.1-56-FABRIC; Roughly Enough Items v6.0.298-alpha; wthit v3.9.3
(Happened both with and without Waystones v8.1.1+0; Universal Graves v1.1.3+1.17.1; Twigs v1.0.2 as well)

Additional Information
I know that running this mod with Xaero's Map mods causes frame-rate issues as well, but I haven't tested yet if running them together causes the same crash yet. I intend to continue testing over the next few days/week to see if I can narrow down any other specific mod that might be interfering, and I'll add any more crash reports that I know are related to this issue.

One crash actually caused issues with the entire instance in MultiMC where when I tried to edit the instance after the crash to try changing what mods were enabled, I wasn't able to. Even when I tried to delete the instance, all that happened was any mods that weren't enabled at the time of the crash disappeared, but I was still able to edit the instance and look at the mods that were enabled on it. It stayed there through restarting MultiMC and only disappeared when I created a new instance to try again.

Yes, Xaero's map mods I have noticed cause huge lag spikes in which no frames are drawn for roughly 20 seconds, and in more severe cases (when I use shaders normally), it times out and crashes. If you continue getting these issues, I know it is tedious to go through and do this but maybe check which mods have the issue.

How much RAM have you allocated to Minecraft?
